Accommodation Overview Your retreat takes place in a privately booked two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa in Bali, reserved exclusively for you and me throughout our five-day experience. With a private setting and comfortable living spaces, the villa offers room for both guided retreat sessions and personal time to rest, reflect and integrate. As this is a private, personalised retreat, the accommodation becomes part of your individual experience rather than a group setting. The intention is to create a calm, private environment where we can work at a pace suited to your needs, with space for intentional practice, meaningful conversation and uninterrupted time away from everyday demands.

At Awaken Sanctuary, we keep nourishment simple, fresh and intentional. Meals focus on seasonal fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbal teas, with vegetarian options designed to complement the retreat experience. Food is approached mindfully, with an emphasis on simplicity and conscious consumption. Any dietary preferences, allergies or specific nutritional needs should be discussed before arrival. Dietary guidance and any fasting practices are discussed individually, taking personal health needs into account. This is not a culinary retreat; nourishment supports the wider experience of rest, reflection and self-awareness. Please confirm any dietary arrangements with Awaken Sanctuary before your stay.

I am Vuyiswa Kayembe, founder of Awaken Sanctuary for Awareness in South Africa. My work centres on psycho-neurological healing and human transformation, integrating psychological insight, nervous system awareness, African Indigenous Wisdom, spiritual science and nature-based practices. Drawing on my experience in shamanic practice, ecotherapy, sound healing and psycho-spiritual coaching, I design personalised retreat experiences that help people understand themselves, recognise recurring patterns, reconnect with their deeper sense of purpose and reorganise their lives consciously. My approach brings together guided self-inquiry, experiential practices and integration, creating space for meaningful change that extends beyond the retreat itself.

Cancellation Policy A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment. Cancellations must be submitted in writing. - More than 30 days before the retreat: Cancellations are eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable booking or transaction fees. - 15–30 days before the retreat: 50% of the total retreat fee is refundable. - 14 days or fewer before the retreat: Payments are non-refundable. - No-shows and early departures: No refunds are provided for failure to arrive or leaving the retreat before its scheduled conclusion. - Date changes: Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and may incur additional costs. - Cancellation by the organiser: If the retreat is cancelled by the organiser, guests may choose a refund of payments made or transfer their booking to an alternative date. Guests are encouraged to arrange suitable travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies and travel disruptions. Flights, accommodation booked independently and other third-party expenses remain subject to the relevant provider's terms and conditions. By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge and accept this cancellation policy, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

I am Djemba, a somatic practitioner and sound healer whose work integrates therapeutic touch, body-based practices and sound to support physical relaxation, embodied awareness and holistic wellbeing. My practice includes deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage and other therapeutic bodywork techniques, alongside somatic practices and sound healing. I create personalised experiences that help people reconnect with their bodies, release physical tension and cultivate a deeper sense of balance and presence. At Awaken Sanctuary, my approach brings together hands-on bodywork and sound-based practices to support rest, restoration and a more connected relationship with the self.
