14 Day Spanish Course and Windsurfing Camp in Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain

This two-week Spanish and windsurfing camp in Tarifa, Andalusia, is designed for travellers who want to combine language learning with time on the water, and it welcomes everyone from complete beginners to advanced windsurfers. Hosted by Escuela Hispalense on Avenida Fuerzas Armadas, the programme pairs daily Spanish tuition with structured windsurfing instruction along Tarifa's breezy Atlantic coastline. Each weekday morning brings four 50-minute Spanish lessons focused on practical communication, covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing in small groups of two to eight participants. Instruction is in English, with the teaching team also fluent in German, Polish, and Spanish, so international guests feel well supported. After class, windsurfing sessions typically begin around 3 p.m., with five lessons spread across the week totalling ten hours of group instruction for beginners and intermediates. Advanced riders can arrange five hours of private coaching instead, working on skills like beach starts, gybes, water starts, and jumps. The windsurfing curriculum builds in clear stages. Beginners start with rigging, pulling the sail from the water, turning the board, and sailing short distances before returning upwind. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and if ideal wind conditions let the group finish early, there is a 10 percent discount on gear rental from the school. Accommodation is in shared apartments with two to four bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen, and a bathroom, all within a 2 to 15-minute walk of the school depending on the season. Bedding is provided and each apartment has a washing machine. Meals are not included, but the kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering, and both the beach and Tarifa's town centre are just a few minutes away on foot.
