About this retreat

This 19 Day, 200 Hour Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Tenerife, Spain, is designed for aspiring instructors who want personal attention in a small-group setting, regardless of their current physical ability. Finding the right Yoga Teacher Training that really fits your needs is most important. For this reason, Gayatri has designed 4 different versions of their Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course for you. This makes the school different from others and unique. You have the choice to study the way which fits you most to become a certified yoga teacher: *Classic Intensive, *Hybrid, *Online, or *2 In 1 Hybrid which includes the therapeutic aspects of Yin Yoga. All our courses follow the classic Yoga Alliance Syllabus. Run by Gayatri Yoga, a long-established school marking its 20th anniversary, the school has limited space for twelve students. That intimate ratio means you get steady guidance throughout the three weeks, with teachers who prioritize depth of learning over class size. The school welcomes participants with physical limitations or health concerns. Rather than pushing anyone to perform advanced postures, the training centers on learning how to teach. If certain asanas are beyond your body's range on a given day, you will receive adjustments and how to use props for your own practice and to use these adjustments for your own further students. If you prefer not to practice specific asanas or if you feel unwell, you can observe, take notes, and use a fellow student to demonstrate during your teaching practice. A core part of the curriculum covers daily hands-on assists workshops, and how to safely adjust and support students through both asana and pranayama work. The emphasis is on developing the practical skills you need to guide others confidently, rather than perfecting your own practice. After enrollment, you will receive the pdf of Gayatri's Pre -Distance Learning, which you can use it to prepare before arriving in Tenerife. Tenerife, set at the Canary Islands in Spain, unfolds in Tenerife's warm, relaxed atmosphere. Founder Radhika and her team see yoga as a discipline of the mind first, with asanas serving as one tool among many. The invitation is to listen to your body, honor yourself, absorb the teaching and see yourself as part of Gayatri and the group. Food

As we all have different dietary habits, allergies and food intolerances, feel free to use the school kitchen to prepare vegetarian meals and snacks for breakfast, lunch and dinner to your choice and taste. Normally, our students form kitchen teams and prepare food from all over the world together and have fun in the kitchen. This way you do not need to cook every day, and each kitchen team cooks normally just twice a week. But feel free to prepare something just for yourself if you want more privacy. Working together, hand in hand according to the karma yoga principals brings the group closer together and gives a feeling of unity during the training. We provide many groceries, plenty of fruits and vegetables, to which you have access all day long. We never had hungry or unhappy students and actually, there is no need for you to buy anything or spend any money on extras as you have always access to the school kitchen. We are of course not able to fulfill your personal wishes, but there is a supermarket close to the school, where you can buy your favorite personal snacks if really needed. According to the yogic diet the following products are not allowed at the school: Meat, fish, seafood, egg, garlic, onion, coffee, alcohol, and tobacco. • Yogic / Sattvic Diet
