Booking & payment questions
How do I book a retreat?
Open the retreat you like, pick a date package, and choose how many places you need. The booking screen shows the full price before you confirm — there is nothing to work out later. Once you submit a request the retreat leader receives it straight away and confirms your spot, usually within a day.
Does RetreatBird add booking or service fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. We never add a per-booking surcharge on top of the retreat leader's rate, and we don't charge you for using the site. Our costs are covered by a commission the retreat leader agrees to, not by a fee passed on to you.
What does the best-price guarantee cover?
If you find the same retreat, same dates, and same package offered for less on another site or by the retreat leader directly, tell us before you travel and we'll match it. The guarantee applies to public, bookable prices for an identical stay — not to private discounts, loyalty rates, or expired promotions.
When is my card charged?
Many retreats let you reserve with a deposit and settle the balance closer to your start date; others ask for payment in full at the time of booking. Each retreat states its own terms on the booking screen, so you always know the amount and the timing before you confirm.
Which currencies can I pay in?
Prices are shown in the currency each retreat leader has set for their retreat. If that differs from your home currency, your bank or card provider handles the conversion at their rate on the day the charge is made.
How do I know my booking is confirmed?
After the retreat leader accepts your request you'll see a confirmation on screen and receive an email with the key details. If you've created an account, the booking also appears in your trips so you can find it again at any time.
