Trust & safety
How we keep the marketplace honest for guests and retreat leaders.
Trust & safety questions
How are retreats vetted?
Every retreat is reviewed before it appears on the site, and we favour quality over sheer volume. We'd rather list one outstanding retreat than a dozen forgettable ones, so the catalogue stays something you can rely on.
Are the reviews genuine?
We only show first-party feedback connected to real stays, and we never pass off another company's ratings as our own. If a retreat doesn't yet have reviews on RetreatBird, we'd rather show none than borrow numbers from elsewhere.
How do I know who I'm booking with?
Listings are tied to the real retreat leader or center running the retreat, and many link out to the retreat leader's own website. You book with an identifiable operator, not an anonymous middleman — and you can message them before you commit.
How do you protect my payment and data?
We handle payments and personal information carefully and use them only to run your booking. The privacy page sets out our approach, and you can always reach us through the contact page if you have a concern.
How do I report a problem?
If something isn't right — with a listing, a retreat leader, or a booking — tell us through the contact page with as much detail as you can. We take reports seriously and will look into them promptly.
