About this retreat

This 10-day, 100-hour yoga teacher training in Misano, on Italy's Adriatic coast in the Province of Rimini, is built for aspiring teachers whose schedules won't allow a long absence from home. It's a focused, step-by-step pathway into the foundations of yoga instruction, set against the backdrop of a relaxed beach town. The curriculum draws on authentic Indian yoga traditions, tracing its lineage to one of the earliest schools certified by Yoga Alliance. Students explore philosophy, anatomy, physiology, and the practical application of these principles to asana practice. The training is designed to be coherent and progressive, giving you a solid first module that can later be expanded. Lead teacher Timea Vitez brings more than three decades of teaching experience, with over twenty of those spent training future instructors. Her depth of knowledge anchors the program, while Davide looks after the logistics and hospitality side, making sure participants feel welcomed and that everything runs without friction. For those who want to pursue full RYT 200-hour certification, this 100-hour module serves as the first step. Yoga Mea School encourages students to return and complete the remaining modules, allowing you to build toward the full credential at a pace that fits your life. The certificates are recognized by the Indian government and valid in 186 countries. The beachside setting in Rimini adds something that a traditional studio simply can't. Morning practice by the sea, the rhythm of the tides, and the easygoing Italian coastal atmosphere create an environment where learning feels less like an intensive and more like a genuine retreat. Year-round availability means you can choose a season that suits you. Yoga Mea School has grown into one of Italy's most in-demand destinations for teacher training, and it's not hard to see why. The combination of experienced leadership, authentic lineage, and a Mediterranean setting makes this a compelling option for anyone ready to take their first steps toward teaching yoga.

About the retreat leader

Timea Vitez – Co-Founder & Lead Teacher of YogaMea School Timea Vitez is an internationally certified E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance teacher, Lead Teacher, and co-founder of YogaMea School Italy. Her journey into yoga began over thirty years ago after a serious car accident that profoundly changed her life. Following the accident, doctors told her that she would likely live with chronic pain and permanent physical limitations. Determined not to accept that diagnosis, Timea chose a different path. Through discipline, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to daily practice, she began using yoga as a method of rehabilitation and healing. For more than three years, she studied and practised independently, gradually rebuilding her strength, mobility, and confidence until she achieved a full recovery. This life-changing experience inspired her to travel to Rishikesh, widely regarded as the birthplace and world capital of yoga, where she began an intensive journey into the traditional teachings of yoga. Over the following years, she completed three consecutive 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training programmes, spending a total of six continuous months studying and living in India. She later returned regularly to deepen her knowledge, eventually completing an Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training after several years of continued study, practice, and annual visits to India. Throughout this journey, Timea developed a close relationship with Rishikesh Yogpeeth, one of India's most respected yoga schools. Returning year after year strengthened the bond of trust, friendship, and mutual respect with the school's founders and senior teachers. Her dedication, professionalism, and deep understanding of traditional yoga eventually led the school to invite her to join its teaching faculty, making her the first woman to teach and train yoga teachers at Rishikesh Yogpeeth—a significant milestone in a traditionally male-dominated environment. During her journey, she met Davide Bedetti. United by a shared vision of bringing authentic yoga to Europe while preserving its traditional roots, they founded YogaMea School in Italy. The name YogaMea has a special meaning. The word "Mea" comes from Latin, the language from which Italian evolved, and means "my." Together, YogaMea means "My Yoga," expressing the belief that yoga is a deeply personal journey, unique to every individual. Building on the success of YogaMea School in Italy, Timea and Davide also founded YogaMea Goa in Agonda Beach, one of the most peaceful beaches in South Goa. Located in a quiet village known for its relaxed atmosphere and where nightlife is intentionally limited, Agonda offers an ideal setting for yoga, meditation, personal growth, and reconnection with nature. Surrounded by palm trees, golden beaches, and the Arabian Sea, YogaMea Goa reflects the same philosophy of authenticity, simplicity, and inner balance that defines YogaMea School. Today, Timea has guided thousands of students from all over the world through yoga retreats and internationally recognised Yoga Teacher Training programmes. Her teaching combines traditional yogic wisdom with compassion, precision, and a profound understanding of the healing power of movement, breath, and mindfulness. Her mission is to inspire others to discover that yoga is much more than physical exercise—it is a path to healing, resilience, inner peace, and lasting transformation. Through her own life story, she demonstrates that even life's greatest challenges can become the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
