About this retreat

Pursue your RYT 200 certification on the shores of the Adriatic in Misano Adriatico, Province of Rimini, where YogaMea School has delivered professional yoga education rooted in more than 30 years of Indian tradition. This 20-day teacher training programme covers yoga philosophy, anatomy, and physiology, guiding you toward a teaching style that is authentically your own. Diplomas are recognised by Yoga Alliance USA, the Government of India, and CSEN-CONI Italy, making your qualification valid across a global network of studios and institutions. More than 5,000 practitioners have graduated through this curriculum. Daily sessions combine classical methodology with practical teaching techniques, all supported by vegetarian Satvik meals prepared by an in-house chef. The beachfront location on Italy's northern Adriatic coast adds a restorative quality to intensive study days, letting sea air and coastal walks balance the depth of the training.

Why this retreat

What Makes YogaMea Yoga Teacher Training Unique? 1. Authentic Roots in Both Italy and India Unlike many schools that operate from a single location, YogaMea offers internationally recognized Yoga Teacher Training in both Italy and Rishikesh, India—the birthplace of Yoga. This allows students to choose between two authentic learning environments while following the same educational philosophy. 2. More Than a Certification At YogaMea, the goal isn't simply to earn a 200, 300, or 500-hour certificate. The focus is on becoming a confident, knowledgeable, and inspiring teacher capable of guiding students safely and professionally. Students develop: Strong teaching methodology Practical classroom experience Confidence leading real classes Effective communication skills A deep understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice 3. Learn by Teaching From the early stages of the training, students begin teaching under expert supervision. Rather than only observing, they receive continuous feedback and gradually build the confidence required to teach independently—a feature consistently highlighted in student testimonials. 4. Led by Highly Experienced Teachers The courses are directed by experienced Yoga Alliance professionals, including lead teacher Timea Vitez (E-RYT 500, YACEP), whose teaching combines traditional yogic wisdom with modern educational methods developed through years of international experience. 5. Small International Groups Students come from all over the world, creating a multicultural learning environment where lifelong friendships are formed. Smaller class sizes allow for personal attention and individual guidance throughout the course. 6. Yoga as a Complete Lifestyle YogaMea teaches yoga as a way of life—not simply as exercise. The curriculum integrates: Hatha Yoga Ashtanga Yoga Pranayama Meditation Yoga Philosophy Anatomy Teaching Methodology Yogic Ethics Ayurvedic principles and healthy living Students don't just study these subjects—they experience them every day. 7. A Beach Campus Unlike Any Other The Italian campus is located just steps from the Adriatic Sea in Misano Adriatico. Training includes: Beach yoga sessions Mediterranean climate Peaceful surroundings Full-board accommodation Healthy vegetarian meals A relaxed atmosphere that encourages learning and personal growth It combines the depth of a traditional teacher training with the restorative feeling of a wellness retreat. 8. Internationally Recognized Certification Graduates receive internationally recognized certification through Yoga Alliance, allowing them to register as certified yoga teachers and teach worldwide. YogaMea also states that its programs are affiliated with CSEN in Italy for national recognition. 9. A Supportive Yoga Family Many schools describe themselves as communities. YogaMea aims to become a true yoga family. Students frequently mention: Warm and welcoming atmosphere Ongoing support after graduation Lifelong friendships Personal transformation Individual attention from teachers These qualities appear repeatedly in independent reviews from graduates. 10. Over 20 Years of Combined Experience YogaMea brings together more than a decade of teacher training in Italy and another decade of experience in India, blending Eastern tradition with European organization and hospitality. In One Sentence YogaMea is more than a Yoga Teacher Training school—it is an immersive international experience where authentic yogic tradition, expert mentorship, seaside living, and personal transformation come together to shape confident, knowledgeable, and inspiring yoga teachers.

E-RYT 500 Hours Y.A.C.E.P. TIMEA VITEZ
E-RYT 500 Hours Y.A.C.E.P. TIMEA VITEZ

Timea Vitez – Co-Founder & Lead Teacher of YogaMea School Timea Vitez is an internationally certified E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance teacher, Lead Teacher, and co-founder of YogaMea School Italy. Her journey into yoga began over thirty years ago after a serious car accident that profoundly changed her life. Following the accident, doctors told her that she would likely live with chronic pain and permanent physical limitations. Determined not to accept that diagnosis, Timea chose a different path. Through discipline, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to daily practice, she began using yoga as a method of rehabilitation and healing. For more than three years, she studied and practised independently, gradually rebuilding her strength, mobility, and confidence until she achieved a full recovery. This life-changing experience inspired her to travel to Rishikesh, widely regarded as the birthplace and world capital of yoga, where she began an intensive journey into the traditional teachings of yoga. Over the following years, she completed three consecutive 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training programmes, spending a total of six continuous months studying and living in India. She later returned regularly to deepen her knowledge, eventually completing an Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training after several years of continued study, practice, and annual visits to India. Throughout this journey, Timea developed a close relationship with Rishikesh Yogpeeth, one of India's most respected yoga schools. Returning year after year strengthened the bond of trust, friendship, and mutual respect with the school's founders and senior teachers. Her dedication, professionalism, and deep understanding of traditional yoga eventually led the school to invite her to join its teaching faculty, making her the first woman to teach and train yoga teachers at Rishikesh Yogpeeth—a significant milestone in a traditionally male-dominated environment. During her journey, she met Davide Bedetti. United by a shared vision of bringing authentic yoga to Europe while preserving its traditional roots, they founded YogaMea School in Italy. The name YogaMea has a special meaning. The word "Mea" comes from Latin, the language from which Italian evolved, and means "my." Together, YogaMea means "My Yoga," expressing the belief that yoga is a deeply personal journey, unique to every individual. Building on the success of YogaMea School in Italy, Timea and Davide also founded YogaMea Goa in Agonda Beach, one of the most peaceful beaches in South Goa. Located in a quiet village known for its relaxed atmosphere and where nightlife is intentionally limited, Agonda offers an ideal setting for yoga, meditation, personal growth, and reconnection with nature. Surrounded by palm trees, golden beaches, and the Arabian Sea, YogaMea Goa reflects the same philosophy of authenticity, simplicity, and inner balance that defines YogaMea School. Today, Timea has guided thousands of students from all over the world through yoga retreats and internationally recognised Yoga Teacher Training programmes. Her teaching combines traditional yogic wisdom with compassion, precision, and a profound understanding of the healing power of movement, breath, and mindfulness. Her mission is to inspire others to discover that yoga is much more than physical exercise—it is a path to healing, resilience, inner peace, and lasting transformation. Through her own life story, she demonstrates that even life's greatest challenges can become the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
