Eco-Logic, Resort for Charity

Eco-Logic is a small resort among the forested hills of Southern Thailand, and a group that stays here does real good. It runs as the charity resort of the Thai Child Development Foundation, so what your group spends helps pay for schooling, healthcare and new chances for children and teenagers in rural Thailand, children with disabilities among them.

Up to 30 guests stay on site across 9 bedrooms. The rooms range from private air-conditioned guest rooms and a bungalow among the trees to a dormitory with bunk beds under mosquito nets, which keeps a bigger group together and the budget in check. The open-sided yoga shala looks straight out into the greenery, with space for a full class on mats, and up to 30 people can be seated for a session, a talk or a workshop.

Food is cooked in-house. The restaurant works farm to fork with the resort's own organic farm, where young people from the foundation learn practical skills by growing what the kitchen serves, and Thai dishes come buffet-style on banana leaves.

Around the resort are rivers, jungle-covered hills and waterfalls such as Haew Lome. Your stay also helps fund the foundation's Circular Campus, where young people study nature, farm sustainably and pick up hands-on skills. Ranong airport (UNN) is 35 minutes away.
