Published rate range

What does a team offsite in Sri Lanka cost per person?

Across all published rates in Sri Lanka, the median is $84 per person per night. Those rates come from programmes of 3 to 5 nights; at each venue's own length the median price is about $280 per person. The lowest at a venue that states it takes 10 is $70 per person per night. Each rate is a venue's own published price divided by its own nights: an all-in programme rate, not a room rate, and without flights. Our fee is a flat €2,500 planning fee — about €250 a head for a team of 10, charged in euros — payable only if you ask us to run the booking.

What the venues in Sri Lanka state

Every venue here runs at least one live listing on the marketplace; we read its own website page by page and joined that to what it publishes on its own listing here. Quotes come word for word off their own sites — open the sources panel on any card below and you get the quote, the fact it is there to support, and the URL it came from. We do not translate or paraphrase them, so some are whole sentences and some are one line off a facilities list; where a quote has been shortened, it ends in an ellipsis.

Igor Dandik in Villa My Way Yoga Retreat states groups of up to 10, and the list below is sorted by stated group size, biggest first. A venue that has not stated a size is never counted as fitting your team — it is listed, but it never appears for a headcount it has not claimed.

Bigger than what is listed in Sri Lanka? That is a sourcing brief, and the same one: send your headcount and we write to venues whose own websites state they take a group your size, put your dates to them, and the plan prints what each one said.

What Sri Lanka really costs, per person per night

Per person per night the venues here run from $70 at Igor Dandik to $158 at One Bhakthi, with a median of $84. The median across the whole catalogue is $134, so Sri Lanka sits below the middle of the catalogue.

Those figures are derived, not quoted at us: a venue's own published retreat price divided by its own number of nights. So each one reflects that venue's all-in programme rate — the room, the food and the programme as it sells them — rather than a bare room rate. Every price on this page is shown in your currency, converted from the venue's own currency at today's exchange rate, and every card links the listing its price came from.

Put a real team against that: 10 people for 3 nights, at the published rate of any venue in Sri Lanka that states it fits 10, comes to $2,100 for the group. That is arithmetic on the venue's own rate, not a quote: flights are not in it, transfers are not in it unless the venue states them, and whole-venue hire is a different booking that we confirm in writing with the venue before you commit to anything.

Corporate retreat venues in Sri Lanka

Ordered by stated group size, largest first; a venue that has never stated a size sits beneath any venue that has — listed, but never counted as fitting your team. After that the order is what a venue has actually evidenced — whole-venue hire, a workshop space, hosting company groups — and then its published rate. No venue can pay to sit higher on this page.

Rooms, meals and getting there in Sri Lanka

Look on the cards for a workshop or meeting space and meals included: wherever a venue in Sri Lanka states one, its card quotes it in the venue's own words. Where a venue has not said, it is one of the first questions we put to them in writing when your brief arrives. Anything a venue has not said, we do not say for it.

The nearest airport, as each venue names it in its own words:

Where a venue has not named one, the transfer is worked out with the venue in the plan rather than assumed here.

What a retreat in Sri Lanka costs your company, end to end

Two lines and one exclusion. If you are forwarding this page internally, this is the part finance asks about.

    1. The venue

Its own published rate × your headcount × your nights. In Sri Lanka that rate runs $70 to $158 per person per night, median $84 — every figure on this page, in public, with no email gate in front of it.

    2. Our planning fee

One flat figure for the whole booking, by group size — €2,500 under 30 people · €4,500 for 30–59 · €7,500 for 60–99 · €12,000 for 100 or more — fixed with you in writing before anything is booked, and shown as its own line in the same budget you approve. It is never a percentage of what you spend, and it is payable only if you ask us to run the booking. Venues may pay us a commission; it is never added to what you pay us. The full terms.

    3. Not in either

Flights. Transfers, unless the venue itself states them. Whole-venue hire, where you want it, is a separate booking we confirm in writing with the venue before you commit to anything.

What the plan answers that this page cannot

    • Availability on your dates. It is not on this page: when a brief comes in we put your dates to the venues in Sri Lanka, and each answer is written into your plan.
    • Whether a venue that has not stated a size can take your team. Such a venue is never counted as fitting a headcount here; if it suits your brief we ask, and the plan carries the answer.
    • The transfer. Where a venue names its nearest airport it is on this page; the journey from it, for your dates, is worked out in the plan.

Read the venue list, read the published plan, and decide whether the work looks like the work you want. It costs you one email and no call. What we do for you, and what we do not, is set out in the terms.

Company retreats in Sri Lanka: questions and answers

How many people can a corporate retreat venue in Sri Lanka take?

Any headcount: send the brief, and above the listed venues we source in Sri Lanka for your group. The largest group a listed venue there states is 10 people — Igor Dandik says so itself — and every capacity on this page is one the venue published; a venue that has not stated a size is never counted as fitting your team.

Can we hire a whole venue in Sri Lanka for the team?

Ask for it in the brief: whether a venue in Sri Lanka can be taken whole, and whether its stated maximum is the whole property, is one of the first questions we put to the venues in writing, and each answer is written into your plan.

Do we have to get on a call to see options and prices?

No. RetreatBird does not do calls at any point, on purpose — every price on this page is already public and nothing is gated behind a conversation. You send a brief in writing and a written plan comes back by email: venue options that state they fit your team, a line-item budget for each, and your dates put to the venue. The plan is free and yours to keep whether or not you book anything; our fee applies only if you ask us to run the booking.

What does the whole thing cost us, including your fee?

Two lines. One: the venue, at its own published rate × your headcount × your nights — in Sri Lanka that rate runs $70 to $158 per person per night, on this page. Two: our planning fee — one flat figure for the whole booking, by group size (€2,500 under 30 people · €4,500 for 30–59 · €7,500 for 60–99 · €12,000 for 100 or more), fixed in writing and shown on its own line in the budget you approve. It is payable only if you ask us to run the booking, and it is never a percentage of what you spend. Venues may pay us a commission; it is never added to what you pay us. Neither line includes flights, and transfers are only in it where the venue states them.
